All for People and Quality.
Cacao Link is a specialty cacao trading company on behalf of smallholder farmers in Madagascar. We ensure the finest quality and traceability to our customers and better income to our farmers for sustainable cacao production.
Our story
It all started from encounters. A passionate agronomist encountering a passionate agribusiness specialist when both were serving as volunteers... And an encounter with cacao farmers in the deep Sambirano Valley who were thriving to improve their practices and skills day by day and proudly said they participated in national fermentation competition.
They wanted to show us why Madagascar chocolate has such a distinctive taste. And we fell in love with their passion.
Now it’s our turn to convey the same message. We want the world to know the scenes behind cacao production, farmers stories and great taste of Madagascar cacao to all chocolate lovers.
Cacao Link was established for such simple but pure passion.
Our vision
We thrive to ensure our farmers in the Sambirano Valley are producing consistent and exceptional cacao beans for the fine cacao market.
Our aim is to ensure the highest quality in the most sustainable and traceable way.
Our activities
Empowering farmer communities is one of our top priorities for sustainable production. We develop a blueprint for producing high quality fine cacao and we provide support and trainings to farmers for skill and knowledge development.
Monitoring farms enables us to ensure cacao trees are well cared for and cacao beans are produced according to the highest standards of quality. We developed a protocol for quality check and farmers can find advice for quality improvement and better grasp of what the market needs.
Collaborating with farmers and other stakeholders to access markets. We facilitate farmers’ participation in cacao competitions, promote farmers’ fine cacao products during international Salons and ensure delivery of samples to prospecting clients.
